Numeric cluster conversion issue

Here's the situation:

The source wire to the left has this description:

It is therefore a perfectly legit cluster of numerics.

Hence, according to the detailed help of the "To Quad Integer" function, the conversion should not break the wire.

However it does.

What gives?

Tested in LV 2015 64 bit

Note: disconnecting from the Typedef doesn't help, neither does Ctrl+Run Arrow.
