New .Net ToolStrip for LabVIEW

Hello Everyone!

I've finished developing my new .Net ToolStrip toolkit for labview. I wanted to replace the "old-style" Labview runtime menu for a better one. (Including images, buttons, text and so on)

In this forum, there are many talented programmers and I would like to ask them to try this toolkit and tell me:

  • What is your opinion?
  • Is it useful?
  • Any suggestion or feature that would be nice

VI documentation can be found on in this website.

Run the downloaded exe as administrator mode, and the toolkit and the examples will be installed to the user.lib\mvTech

Labview automatically populates the *.mnu file (User Library\mvTech)

This toolkit is avalilable only in demo version. ( Demo version: only 10 menuitem can be used)

If you have any remark, feel free to write me here, or info@mvtech.eu

You are right!

I've attached a *.zip file. Copy to your user.lib\ folder if you want to populate your userlib menu with .Net ToolStrip vis.

Various comments:

  1. Why .NET? I assume it's because there's already existing code, but a native implementation would be nicer.
  2. If you remove diagrams of VIs, they can't be opened in any other version, meaning only people with LV 2009 can use this.
  3. I would suggest creating a movie of using this (using Jing, for instance) and some images so that people can see what it's like without downloading anything.

Dear tst,

Thank you very much your comments,

  1. .Net aims the original source of the code, but yes, the native implementation much better.
  2. I'm ready to rebuild the package, only password will be applied.
  3. Very good idea!

I will make these modifications and I hope I could count your further comments!
