NI9514 FPGA-Mode Minimal Example

Hi there,

I'm using a NI9514 Module in a cRIO-9075 chassis and i'm trying to get it to work in FPGA-Mode.

Is there any kind of minimal exmaple?

I simply want to give a Drive Command (bet −32.768 and 32.767) from the Host.vi and simply get an output between -10V and +10V from the module.

What steps are necessary to achieve this?

Greetings

Hi Jaifraic,

I just found a Folder with a few examples in LabVIEW You could look through to find the answer to Your question.

C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2015\examples\CompactRIO\FPGA Fundamentals\FPGA Math and Analysis\PID Toolkit

You`ll find the examples if You use win7 . But if You ca'nt find them, please reply.

best regards

Hi Jaifraic,

I forgot to mention that the example I thought about specially is called "Using Discrete PID - cRIO"

Hi PHejj,

thank you for your reply, but this is not quite what i'm looking for.

There is an example for the NI9514-Module (NI9514 Basic Move) and I tried to strip it down to get a minimal example, but i could not get it to work.

What I want to do is to set an output in the RT Host-VI and get an proportional output voltage  out of the FPGA-Module.

Hi Jaifraic,

what is'nt working? Is it the compilation or the VI, or the hardware?

Or do'nt you get out the expected voltage?

Well anyway, I checked some knowlegebases and other cases that I think match up with Yours. The first Link shows options not supportet by NI9514. The others is two forum-threads and a How To.
