And did you mistype the version of NI-Serial? The latest is 14.0. There is a 4.1 download but I can't find a 4.0.

Hello qz6y7q,

If you can't find the port on NI MAX I thinks it is a drivers issue, did you installed NI-VISA?

The following link has a LabVIEW/NI-VISA compatibility table:

NI-VISA and LabVIEW Version Compatibility for Windows:

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/CF4279A34F855AB186257B1F00003B82

NI-VISA is a standard for configuring, programming, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems comprising GPIB, PXI, serial (RS232/RS485), USB, and other interfaces. It provides the programming interface between hardware and NI LabVIEW.

You can find a download link on the following link:

NI-VISA 14.0.1:

http://www.ni.com/download/ni-visa-14.0.1/5023/en/

Please check that your SR is on the Operating system compatibility section.

Let me know if this works for you.

Best regards.
