I am trying to use NI USB-6009 in my labtop.
I install the driver and tried to do self test.
But it is not working.
Is it working in Vista. My OS is window Vista.
If it is working, what should I check additionally? Thanks

Hi bcjung,
Thanks for the post and I hope your well today!
I would firstly make sure you've installed the NI-DAQmx 8.7.2 driver - which supports Vista and the USB 6009.
Then under MAX check that firstly the NI-DAQmx Driver is listed under the software section.
Then plug the USB in (must be disconnected thus far) and allow windows to find the device and link to DAQmx driver.
Then check if the USB 6009 appears under the USB DAQ Devices.
If not, does windows device manager see it?
Kind Regards,

Hy
I have the same problem with my laptop under Windows7.
Device manager see my NI 6009 but MAX not
Is compatible NI-DAQmx8.7.2 with Windows7?
Best Regards
Zoltan

Hy thank you for reply
The reason why I try to instal on Windows7 is because the drivers for vista (theoretically) is good for windows7 and I think this "theory" is valid for NI drivers too.
Apparently this is wrong

I am trying to use NI-USB-8451, and have installed DAQmx 8.9, labview 8.6,
but the OS(Windows7) can't find the driver for it yet I can see 8451 with a yellow "!" in the device manager.
is DAQmx 8.9 not compatiable with Windows7?

No. Windows 7 doesn't work with NI-DAQmx 8.9. You must install 9.0.2

Hi Ruey,
The USB-8451 is not a DAQ card, it actually uses its own driver designed to accommodate the I2C/SPI features the card was designed for. The NI 845X driver is the own you need and the latest version, 1.1.3, should work on the 32 bit emulation layer in Windows 7. Hope this helps!01-18-2010 08:20 PM
