NI_FileType.lvlib Random Application Crashes

We have a large app using AF.

It has recenty became apparent that there are random crashes occuring.

What has caught my eye is that the crash report suggests that part of the stardard llb normally located in

c:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2015\vi.lib\Utility\lvfile.llb

Are giving the compilerError=6

We can't figure out why this crash is happening, but we've confirmed this on different machines.

Anyone experienced a simlar problem?

Hi Mac 671,

Did you choose the popup option to send the crash report to NI Error Reporting? If so, what is the Report ID? If not, please do that. That gives us access to crash-related tools that can sometimes be helpful for specific crashes.

Hi Jeff,

I only obtained this files after the crash happened. I'm not sure if it was submitted.

However we do have a case open with NI support to evaluate this.

We've provided all the required information including full dumps, and multiple crash reports but unfortuiantely the issue remains unresolved for weeks now.

I've PM'd you the reference ID in case you have the ability to look into it and give additional info.

Thanks for sending that to my inbox. The Report ID will actually be very long, like 20-30 characters. But if you didnt' choose "Yes" when prompted to submit, then there's nothing for me to access.

What is the service request number you have opened? There's no reason for us to have both a service request and forum open, but I'm happy to engage the engineer you're working with on the service request. Instead of 2 of us doing the same research, we can work together to help resolved the issue more efficiently.

LabVIEW crashes tend to be complicated, and it can be very difficult to pinpoint the cause, especially without the crash report. While the logs are helpul, the crash report contains much more detailed information that is encrypted until it is submitted from the user. We cannot manually decode it when you send it to us. 

Anyway, I'm happy to look into the service request. I can't guarantee a quick resolution with crashes, but I can guarantee that we will do everything we can to get you and your customer up and running as soon as possible.

It says complierError but while the compiling, there is not error occured.

Also using Labview2015...
