Multi-Device Synchronization AO-DO-DI via DAQmx, external trigger

Solved!

Having trouble getting the Digital Input to trigger from the Analog Ouput device.

I have 2 AO cards      (although I'm only testing with 1 AO device)

2 DIO cards - using one for Output, one for Input

All 4 cards are connected via a RTSI cable, and the cable is properly condfigured in MAX, all 4 devices added to cable.

I consider the AO card the 'master' device. In this test, I am asking for a Finite # of samples, and I am externally triggering the AO card.

As you can see, iI am using Export Signal, to export the AO Sample Clock and AO Start Trigger to the DIO cards.

I am using Labview 2012 on Windows 7 PC.

The  Digital Output is waiting for the AO to trigger, and seems to be clocking off the AO sample clock.

The Digital Input times out if i don't trigger in time, thus it is not waiting for the trigger.

any ideas?  I've tried all kinds of combinations.

Never Mind!  I solved the issue with Digital Input not waiting for the external trigger.

I just had to set the Timeout to -1, so that it would never time out, and thus it will wait for the trigger.
