Thanks for the solution.  I was having issues communicating with a Mitutoyo 575-123 via a USB-ITN-F cable.  Nothing worked until I used the 3 VIs from Page 3 of this thread.  I needed to change the Write command from "GA00" to "1" per Mitutoyo technical help.  Other than that it was perfect for me.

The Input Tool 264-016 is a one way device. Press button on the gage, the button on the Input Tool, or use a momentary switch in the jack.
The 264-007 Input Tool for RS232 is serial data. Send it a 1 to make the request.
