Making SubVI terminals REQUIRED

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a vague memory that several years ago (LV 8, maybe?) there was a LabVIEW option (Tools - Options) to make all new subVI input terminals default to REQUIRED.

IOW, any new VI that had an input terminal created, would have it set to REQUIRED. You could still set it otherwise, but this was the default.

I tried it then, and it worked, but was not suitable for the project I was on.

In looking for it now, I can't find it in LV2013 options.

(  ) I'm missing it - it's right there in the _____ section.

(  ) It's removed and only available by the ______ key in "LabVIEW.ini"

(  ) It's removed and no longer available.

(  ) I imagined the whole thing.

This feature has saved me countless hours of development time by breaking VIs that contain subVIs with modified connector panes so I can easily find them and deal with them.
