Listbox behaves in unexpected manner

The Quick Drop Listbox does not show this bug, so we know someone at NI is aware of the issue and worked around it. I can count at least two dozen bugs fixed in LV11 that I would trade to have gotten this one fixed. And I mean all for one.

I can only confirm that the issue remains in LV 2013. That is just so sad.

What about in LabVIEW 2014?

Don't know about LV2014.

But I found that there is a scripting property FocusRow that does the trick. Not very useful for most cases, but why is it not available without scripting? And why the 'FocusRow' is not the set when setting Value is a bit weird.

It is still there in 2014.

Update: I went ahead and re-reported this to R&D (# 488710). I'm not sure why no action has been taken so far, but hopefully they'll be able to take a look. Thanks for bringing this back to our attention!

There is a solution in this thread if you read through it all:

http://lavag.org/topic/16987-mclb-automated-selection/

Involves some private properties but there are some VIs posted that expose them for you to use.  Solved the issue for me.

This CAR is reported as being fixed in LV 2014 SP1 and 2015, but it has not been fixed.  It affects multicolumn and single column listboxes.
