Hello colleagues
I am still very much a beginner in labview and my question to the community is
Does anyone have any good examples of takeing and a Axis Camera and controlling it inside labview useing Vapix?
VAPIX® is Axis’ own open API (Application Programming Interface) using standard protocols enabling integration into a wide range of solutions on different platforms.
I can see my Camera in NI-Max and can deploy video but no audio no buttons just video.
My desire is to have Video, 2 way Audio and control over the LED on the camera itself.
I have rummaged around and cannot find any good examples to start with.
Thankyou in advanced for any examples or leads anyone could provide

Haven't used VAPIX, but have used LabVIEW to open an Axis camera, take video. I recall doing something with HTML to turn the LED on and off (don't remember, could possibly find the test code we wrote). Don't think our camera has audio ...

Hi Xenwalker,
Unfortunately, the NI camera driver software, IMAQdx, does not support audio as part of it's interface. It seems that Axis does have a ActiveX interface for their camera. You can use the ActiveX call in LabVIEW to access the functions provided by their driver. You may also want to contact Axis to see if they have a pre-built LabVIEW driver available. This would be much easier than using the ActiveX interface. Please see below for more information.
