LabVIEW load error code 3: Could not load front panel (LabVIEW 2014)

Solved!
Go to solution

Good day!

Decided to use the new version of LabVIEW 2014 patch 1!
Week everything was fine and suddenly, after the usual save and exit LabVIEW 2014 ceased to open the main .vi file:

Writes an error:
LabVIEW Generic error:

An error occurred loading VI 'KM_200.vi'.LabVIEW load error code 3: Could not load front panel.

Copies of this .vi certainly did, and worked on it for 6 months!

Please somebody help with the restoration of the file!

Hi mnml,

can't you backup any of those copies you mentioned?

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi mouse,

so you sent me your backup containing the whole project. What am I supposed to do with it?

Best regards,

Hi,

no, I didn't ask you to send your backup to me! You should just use your backup to restore the screwed file…

Your backup seems ok, I could open all the VIs. You should clean up the code anyway, refactoring seems a good idea too…

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi mnml,

the attachment of your first message shows that error 3. Use the one from your ZIP backup…

Lesson learned: Use SVN (or any other similar tool) to implement full source code control.

Best regards,
GerdW
