The conversion kit doesn't seem to be available online anymore.

If you contact your local NI support branch they should be able to help you get the conversion kit, most probably in the form of a CD.

The link above shows that, as you correctly stated, you need a conversion kit to convert from LabVIEW 3.1.1 to LabVIEW 4.0.1. Anything after LabVIEW 4.0.1 is then compatible with LabVIEW 2009.

Well, you should say you need atleast LV6 to re-save those LV4-VIs to open them in LV2009... LV2009 doesn't open VIs saved with LV versions before LV6!

There is no LabVIEW 2007.  So when you post a message in that thread to ask to convert, put down the LabVIEW version you have and what you want.  Perhaps you mean LabVIEW 8.6, or 8.5
