LabVIEW cannot get past login scren.

When I launch LabVIEW, I cannot get past the "Welcome to LabVIEW" screen.  Anything I try to click on in the window justs makes the window do a quick blink.  Any suggestions?

What's the LabVIEW version? Did it work in the past?

The version is 2012.  this did work in the past but stopped working at some point in time.  I have tried reinstalling LabVIEW but the behavior has not changed.

Did you install any new antivirus or other personal security software?

(e.g. Avast is known not to play nice)
