LabVIEW 7.1 vi using LabVIEW 8.2 dll

Hello:

Have many licensed LabVIEW 7.1 express on older test machines and do not have a copy of application builder for 7.1.

I do have a  licensed copy of LabVIEW 8.2 with application builder.

My question is can I run  my 7.1 vi that calls a dll created by LabVIEW 8.2  as long as I have LabVIEW 8.2 runtime engine installed on

the LabVIEW 7.1 machines?

Thank you!

Re: LabVIEW 7.1 vi using LabVIEW 8.2 dll

Hi,

I'd say there's a  possibility that it might work. However, what I would recommend is upgrading the 7.1 VIs to 8.2 since you do have LabVIEW 8.2. Is there a reason you don't want to do that?

Hello:

Just a test but I'm on my way to jumping up to LabVIEW 2011

Thank you!
