LV7 parallel Outport executable trouble even with port IO installer option checked

Hi,

I'm using the Outport VI to manipulate the memory locations of the parallel port in LV7.0 on windows 2000. However, when I build the executable and install it (with the port IO option checked when I built the installer) to another PC with only the RTE installed on win 2000. I get an error 25, external code not present. The cviVRXWrapper.dll is in the Labview RTE and already installed. Why are the port IO drivers in the installer either not working? Or not getting installed? And is there any way to fix this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello Ray,

It sounds like you are missing the NI-VISA RTE. Another possiblity is that you are missing drivers on the target machine. Drivers such as NI-DAQ are not included in the installer and must be installed individually on the target machine. You can find the NI-VISA RTE at: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/webcategories/85256410006C055586256BAC002C51FA?opendocument&node=132070_US

The NI-DAQ driver is located at: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/webcategories/85256410006C055586256BBB002C1293?opendocument&node=132070_US
