LV 2009 SP1 patch stuck at installing NI USI 1.7.1

Trying to patch LV 2009 to SP1 on a VMware installation of Win7 (running on OSX 10.6.3). The installer gets stuck at "NI USI 1.7.1  Part 20 of 52". Is this the registry key permissions problem from 1.5 again ? FWIW the LV 2009 installation does seem to work otherwise, at SP 0 .  thanks Alex

How do you have Win7 installed on the Mac? Also what do you mean by "SP 0"?

Win 7 running in VMWare 3.  It now functions, see below.

Thanks, you got me to take another look. Somehow I hadn't finished registering the original install before I tried the patching. So now that I've tried to run it again, and it asked to register again, all is good. I've got LV2009 SP1 running now. Did I read the SP3 FAQ correctly that SP1 is sufficient for now unless you have one of the errors in the table at the top. Yes ?
