LABView vs Logger with 34970A Reading Mismatch

Hi,

I have an issue trying to read some thermocouples.

If I use BenchLink Datalogger SW the reading are ok. but if I use LabView the readings are like 80ohms lower.

I have noticed that after using labview to read my thermocouples if I change Sw to Benchlink the first 1 or 2 readings are also low but then they get back to reading normal.

I'm using Labview drivers and VI functions to take the readings in labview (using the data vis provided to use with 34970A).

I think there is something in labview that is affecting the readings but don't knwo what can it be as I'm using the provided VIs.

Please hel as I'm clueless...

There is something different in your two setups. Perhaps the cjc or thermocouple type. You can turn on NI-Spy and capture both setups and do a comparison.

Hi... well thing is that I'm trying to get the resistance of the themrocouples, so I just have the system to read Ohms (2 Wire).

And I have set that into Benchlink and according to LV VI is the same... but not sure if there is an extra value I need to change...

Will try that NI SPy

thanks.
