Issue with cursor movement after enabling shift register

Solved!
Go to solution

Yes, as you click outside, it will place a disconnected shift register on the other side. It seems not too much work to delete the target tunnel and hook the wires to the new shift register instead.

One possible solution could be the implementation of the following:

  • If we select two tunnels (e.g. select one by clicking, scroll to see the other one, then shift-click the other to have both selected)
  • And the tunnels are on opposite sides of a loop
  • And the tunnels match in datatype
  • And there are exactly two tunnels selected

---> then right-clicking one of them while selecting "replace with shift register" should convert both tunnels to a shift register pair.

This is not possible at the moment but I am sure that somebody could create a short-cut menu plugin for LabVIEW 2015 that does exactly that!
