Interfacing Tektronix TDS 1012B oscilloscope with labview

Hi

iam new user of labview, i know how to interface DMM using serial port.

now i need to interface OSCILLOSCOPE using usb port.

i downloaded the labview drivers, but i dont know how to use it.

can any one provied atleast one example for it.

You would have to...

1. Install the TekVISA (OpenChoice... CD that come with the TDSxxxx) PS: Reminder to keep NI VISA as Primary VISA
2. Upon successfully having the TekVISA installed (and reboot), connect up the TDSxxxx to your PC.
3. With MAX, you should be able to see the TDSxxxx as an i.e. USB device
4. You may select, by clicking on, that device, give it an alias i.e. TDS1012B and save it.

The VISA Resource Name to the LabVIEW drivers will be that alias i.e. TDS1012B.

PS: I am unable to remember the exact term(s) i.e. USB device displayed in the MAX but hope above give you at least a clue or two.
