Infrared communication

Hi,

I have a Problem with an application. I am trying to build a Communication between the PDA and the Computer using Infrared. I have built an Application, it runs of the PDA and it finds the Computer , but I can not communicate with them. I have read all about Irda Communication, but I have found an Answer. Can you help me please?

What type of pda and what protocol does it use for the infrared port?? Does the infrared port on the computer act like a Com port??

I have a Pocket PC H5500 Familie, and I use a Infrared USB Adaptor, Es is connected with the USB Port.
