Solved!

Hi

I am trying to import som *.xls (2003) and *.xlsx (2007) files containing numbers and text into LabVIEW but I cannot get it to work. First column with text and the second with numbers.

Can anyone help me with a small example? Is there an easy way?

FYI

I have access to all packages and addons for LabVIEW through my work (University)

Best regards

Simon

save the Xls file in Tab-delimiter format. then use "read from spredsheet" to read the file.

I would very much like to have just one file for each dataset for the ease of the user, therefore not wanting to save any additional files.

There is an example using the Report Generation toolkit.

It should give you a place to start.

Hope this helps.

Hi GovBob

That is exactly what I was looking for, an easy way to import *.xls and *.xlsx files directly into LabVIEW, good example 🙂

Thank you GovBob
