Icon creation for executables

Ok, I've been through countless threads, tutorials and I'm still unable to successfully creat an icon for my executable.  I've tried icon editors and found a vi that merges to created icons, nothing seems to work.  I still get an error message saying that it needs to be 16x16 and 32x32.  Has anyone successfully made an icon that works from a picture?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of icon editors are you using?

Newer versions of LabVIEW have an icon editor built into the application builder. What LabVIEW vesion do you have?

Hello, friend!
I'm using AWIcons and I have no problem with the task of creating icons.
You can easily create multi-icon .ico files changing size/color to fit the LV needings.
You need an 32x32 16 color, an 32x32 mono, an 16x16 16 color and an 16x16 mono in the same .ico file, right?
AWicon can do it without tutorials becouse the size and color configurations are always on the panel and you can change it at any time.
Creating an .ico file with this four images is enough. Save and load with the aplication builder.
