Hello,
i'm pretty new to machine learning algorithms on Labview so please be patient if my question seems stupid. I was wondering if there is a workaround to use Machine Vision SVM VIs (ex. IMAQ SVM Train) for not images data. I know about Machine Learning Toolkit and i'll surely make a try with those but MV VIs are really well organized and allow to save training in a quite elegant way.
Indications, suggestions or, well, even a "No, you can't" is really appreciated!
By the way, any chance to have Learning Machine Algorithm natively supported in LV? 🙂
Thank you,
Frax

There is a separate board for VISION, where you can post queries Specific to Vision.

I am not sure what do you mean by not Image data?

-As per my knowledge IMAQ VIs are specifically for Images.
-Your best chance is using Machine Learning Toolkit which you already found.

Thank you everyone for the answer,
as udka understood i was trying to investigate the possibility to use the Machin Vision SVM VIs for general purpose machine learning algorithms(input not specifically an image).
I wonder why NI doesn't natively integrate Machine Learning algorithms inside LV but, ok, this is just my mumbling.
Thank you for your help,
Regards,
Frax

Just to quote someone(AQ) from NI why not, here's the answer: "This is not an area of expertise for National Instruments. Instead, it is an area we encourage third parties to develop, parties with the research background and test facilities to develop such tools." : https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/please-add-machine-learning-feature-into-labview/idc-...

Still....Machine Learning is really well implemented in Machine Vision 🙂 By the way, if they are not willing to implement ML in LV there is nothing i can do to change the fact.
