I have a labview rt7.1 boot disk, but i only have labview rt 7, can my vi run in the rt7.1 target?

I have a labview rt7.1 boot disk, so that I can turn one of my pc into a real time target machinelike a pxi.
but i only have labview rt 7 for my development, can my vi run in the rt7.1 target machine?

Hello,

The two versions of LabVIEW Real-Time are not compatible with each other, so you will have to either get the 7.1 development system, or use a PXI controller for your RT target. The reason for this is that LabVIEW 7.0 did not support desktop PCs as real-time targets, so if a PXI controller is not an option, you will have to upgrade.
