I'm trying to wrap my head around a performance problem that I've been struggling with for quite some time now, as described here and here.
In short, my problem is that my applications, running on Ubuntu 8.04, are significantly slower on certain computers after upgrading from LV8.6 to later versions, while other computer shows a significant performance increase.
I'm now leaning towards this having to do with hyperthreading and the LV compiler. Hyperthreading is one thing that differs the computers (the "good" doesn't use it, the "bad" does), and the compiler is probably the main difference in the LV versions.
Has anyone experienced slowdowns related to Hyperthreading or multicore computers after an upgrade from 8.6? Unfortunately I can't turn hyperthreading off to test my theory.

Well folks, it turns out hyperthreading has nothing to do with the problem. Managed to turn it off and it didn't help, and NI support got the same result. The hunt goes on...
