Thank you for your input. Yes, I know about that. If you look at the first page of my post I mention this, (I actually created a desktop shortcut for a batch file with those lines in it.) The only problem with that is that you have to "uninstall" each separately, one at a time. That is not acceptable for us; it's too time-consuming. The "trick" to "Ignore Serial Numbers" that I mention on the post before yours was my "solution". I have not figured out why NI-MAX doesn't totally agree with Device Manager, though. I gave up on this one.
While writing this reply I see that "elrathia" had a post about Device Remover. Notice that I talk about this on page 2.
