How to set AI reference voltage DAQmx

I can't figure out how to set an internal reference voltage for analog input. I am using DAQmx Create Channel, AI voltage.

I'm not 100% sure I can help here, but if you're trying to read in an analog voltage, I'm assuming that you have some kind of NI analog input/output card that you're using.   If that's the case, you might look at the specs for your card to see if there's a ground pin that you need to be hooking up in order to supply your reference.

Yes sorry for being vague. I am using the USB 6356 and trying to read in an analog voltage. I want to do set an internal reference voltage though.

If you're trying to set a ground, there's the AI GND pins.

Do you really mean you want to an external reference? The internal reference is fixed.
