How to draw stock candlestick (open/high/low/close) chart in LabVIEW?

Dear all expert,

1. Does any one have experience on drawing stock candlestick chart (open/high/low/close) in LabvIEW?

2. I try to use ZedGraph (http://zedgraph.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page), but it doesn't seem to work

You may be able to use an XY chart to get the candlestick look by using 3 Y values for each X.

What doesn't work with the ZedGraph control? Using it (related to your other post here), or making a candlestick graph? Have you looked at the demo on the ZedGraph page?

Might be easier to use an excel chart inside labview.

Dear HM,

Were you able to get the stock candlestick chart in LABVIEW using ZedGraph?

If so would you share with me please.
I've tried several times but have not been able to do it.

Thanks,

PataPata

I was trying to do this using Error Bar graphs, as a suggestion from NI, but it just was too clunky, and not quite a good duplication of the goal. So, I dived into ZedGraph, learned a bit of .NET, and the result is attached as a LabVIEW 2012 VI.

My objective was to duplicate the "Japanese Candlestick Demo" from:

http://zedgraph.dariowiz.com/index978b.html?title=Japanese_Candlestick_Demo

+1 to "C. Minnella" for the refresh fix shown in his Refresh.vi posted at:

http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Tickness-Report/m-p/537308#M253544

You will need to install ZedGraph, such as v.5.1.5, as available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/zedgraph/

Ken

Hello,

Yeah, after quite a few weeks re-building charting libraries we have built this:

http://www.austinconsultants.co.uk/finance-candlestick-ohlc-graph-toolkit/

Worth checking out and is the best LabVIEW candlestick graph available at the moment.

Cheers

Peter
