How to connect pulse oximeter to DAQ 6008

Pulse oximetery sensors (in the past anyway - I have not checked recently) use two light sources, typically LEDs, and suitable detectors to measure the difference in spectral properties of red blood cells with oxygen and those with coarbon dioxide.  Since the behavior of the sensor depends on the exact wavelengths chosen, the spectral properties of the blood at those wavelengths, the spectral behavior of the detector(s), and various factors to account for skin thickness and pigmentation, optical leakage, dirt, sweat, motion, and probably other things, I doubt you will get very good results without the instrument matched to the sensor.

Hello,

The details for the two NI modules that we are using currently in the lab for our ECG-BP monitor are:

I tried to connect Pulse Oximeter to Pc before. I have done it but Synchronization with ECG which is acquired by using Natinal Instrment DAQ.

So I have decided to use Pulse Oximeter that could be connected to this modules and then do Synchronization at first. I would like to know if you could recommend me any Pulse Oximeter suitable for this purpose. I saw previous posts but I am not sure it is gonna work for me as well.

Warm Regards,

I do not have any current information on pulse oximeters.

Since your modules are analog input devices, you need to look for a pulse oximeter with an analog output.

I do not know how you created the links in your post but they do not connect to the URLs in the link text.  They seem to connect to some email web site.
