How to clear controls when operation is finished?

How do I clear controls auotmatically either when I stop running a vi or when I start running one.

Do you want to set them to their default values? If so, you can just use the VI Server like so:

Doesn't seem to work. It reinitializes during the ooperation of the vi.

If this does not work then you are probably coding it in wrong.  What is you are trying to do exactly. Do you want to set them to a known value (ie default) or do you want to clear some some string or numeric controls/ indicators to zero or empty.

Here is an example of using the default.
