How do I rate the answer in the new design of this newsgruop

Just my 2 cents...

I have been rating Q's that

I want to know the answer to,
Prompted enlightening answers,
Or Q's I want to get others to look at.

But back to the point!

I would rather be directed to an answer with 5 stars
than
a Q with 5 stars but no good answer.

So...

I suggest that the stars displayed should be the greater of the two catagories, Q's and A's.

That's an interesting suggestion, Ben.

Something to consider.

Do they take an average of all the ratings within a thread?

What I do for "bad" answers, even in old threads is provide an updated answer (if there is one to give).
However, often, what I look for I find unanswered questions to. Which means someone else faced the same issue a few years back, but no answer was ever provided. We do loose track of our own questions sometimes. That's why it is good to answer even the old questions. 😉

Cheers dudes!!

This is a good site. Excellent wealth of information..
