How can I find out whether LabVIEW is compatible with neuroConn hardware?

Hi there,

I would like to use a LabVIEW program in my experimental procedures of running Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Particularly, I want the program to tell the transcranial magnetic stimulator what intensities the upcoming pulses need to be and the program has to work out what intensities the upcoming pulses need to be based on electromyography (EMG) recording from muscles. My first concern is whether LabView is compatible with the hardware that I use to amplify the EMG recording. The hardware I use is made by neuroConn (http://www.neuroconn.de/produkte_en/  - ExG amplifier). So I am hoping someone here can tell whether LabView will recognize the neuroConn hardware, or if not, where I can find this out.

Thanks,

Michelle

The information on the NeuroConn website wasn't too helpful (to me) in figuring this out.  Best bet is probably to contact the company (or a user of the product) and ask them directly.  You can also ask about the inputs and outputs to their machine, and whether Analog or Digital control and acquisition is "built-in".

Hi Michelle,

I second Bob's opinion. I would contact neuroConn directly. They may have pre-existing LabVIEW programs or libraries available. It seems for their TMS EEG systems that there is some sort of LabVIEW interface. The documentation is not very clear but your best bet would be to contact neuroConn.
