Generic I/O error ???

Hi

 

Whenever i try to open a VI i'm getting a message as "generic I/O error.Not a valid LabVIEW file".The VI is very important.is there any way to recover or repair the VI?

You have a backup, right? You're using source code control, right? That's your best bet. From what you're describing it sounds like you have a corrupted VI. You can upload it here to see if someone else can open it.

I've back up.but i've made many changes to that.and the latest one is corrupted.I'll upload the VI.Please try if you can do anything...

I am also getting a "not a valid labVIEW file". Just a wild guess from the file name are you sure it is a vi? Is it some kind of screen shots? (wrong extention?)

ITS A VI IN WHICH I SIMULATE SOME PLC SCREENS SO THE NAME..IT SURELY IS A VI.

But you should say "it was a VI" Smiley Wink

And pick up your backup. Or start to backup regularly right now!
