Front panel propery nodes with cDAQ Controllers

Solved!
Go to solution

cDAQ controllers have a display port : so front panels of VIs running in can be displayed !

Well, it is known that LV RT cannot handle property nodes remated to front panel elements (mostly because VIs that usually run on a RT target do not have an active front panel at run time).

Is that still true with cDAQ controllers providing a display port ? (such as 9132)

If I want to act on controls of a front panel's controls of a VI running on this kind of hardware (such as disabling and graying ctls, ...), will it work ?

What OS should I chosse to do so ?

Hello

Do you need to perform 24/24 acquisition to respect reliability?

Thanks

Hello,

You're right , previously, it was not possible to access front panel properties on RT systems. Our new generation of Hardware based on LInux RT integrates an HMI  'emulator' that allows you to interact with your front panel.

This first link provides generic infos on the new Compact DAQ controllers:

This one shows which OS are supported with Which harware:

And the last one explains how to create an HMI for your system:

Regards,
Karine
