File Permission Error; NI-488: DMA Hardware Error Detected

I'm having an issue running a labview based program. When it tries to collect a data point and write to the file I get the error:

File Permission Error; NI-488: DMA Hardware Error Detected

I'm using Labview 8.2 on a MacMini running OSX 10.5.8. I've set the program specific permissions to allow reading and writing, yet I still get this error.

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance!

How are you collecting the data? I'm not that familiar with the Mac any more, is LV8.2 supported by the OS version you are running?

What exaclty did you set?

Can you show us a simplified version of your code?

Did the program work correctly in the past?

Is the file already open in some other application?
