FPGA on Labview 64 bit - global reference

Solved!
Go to solution

Dear all,

I am trying to upgrade from the 32 bits to the 64 bits version of labview 2015. I have followed the steps described there http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/3FFBBE3882F3EE1C862579E9005BBCC1 and can communicate properly with my FPGA. I am now trying to define a FPGA VI Reference as a global variable but I somehow do not manage it. I've attached a screenshot and the vi that is supposed to do the job. Have you got any idea on how I could solve this problem?

Best,

Martin

Hi 4KMRFM,

from my point of view this will happen as soon you change anything on your FPGA Reference if you have not configured "dynamic mode", as can be seen on the attache image. See the documentation here:

Configure Open FPGA VI Reference Dialog Box - LabVIEW 2011 FPGA Module Help - National Instruments
http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371599G-01/lvfpgahost/config_open_fpga_ref/

Using Dynamic FPGA Interface References (FPGA Interface) - LabVIEW 2011 FPGA Module Help - National Instruments
http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371599G-01/lvfpgahosthelp/fpga_dynamic_host_interface/

Hope this helps you along!

Cheers,

Niko
