FPGA module unzip problem

Solved!
Go to solution

I downloaded the FPGA module into a controler of a PXI, running XP.  When I tried to unzip it, the upzip operation would fail everytime.  What is causing this?  Is there some kind of requirement to unzip this?  Harddrive size requirement?

Sorry.  I don't have the message anymore.  It is just a generic window xp error that said the unzip operation cannot be performed.

I got the message again.  The message is "Could not create c:national instrument downloads\labview fpga english\2011sp1 - unzip operation canceled".

Is the backslash actually missing like you have it typed?  c:national instead of c:\national?

Why it would be missing I don't know, but that sure seems like it would cause an error like this.

Have you tried downloading the module again?  Perhaps the zip file is corrupt.

Thanks for helping.  I found out what was the problem.  I downloaded the FPGA module through the link below.  When I tried to unzip it, I would use the default path.  Apparently, the default path has a space at the end of its 2nd folder, counting from the end of the path.  This is a small bug from NI, but it needs to be fixed.  It is a hard problem to catch, since I didn't expect something like that to happen.

Hey all,

Just FYI, this should be fixed with the -Eng2 version of the executable. This should go live in the next day or two.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info. The new version would replace the old version on the web, right?
