FPGA Host broken when deploying Exe

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

I am working on a FlexRIO 7954R project with LabVIEW 2009.

The executable works fine on the developpement computer, but when I try to run it on another PXI, with LabVIEW RTE installed, I get error 1003 on Host VI.

On the host VI, the FPGA code is loaded using "Open FPGA VI Reference" with a bitfile path.

Do you have any idea about the reason of the problem ?

Is LabVIEW RTE sufficient , or do I need to install some extra software/drivers?

Thanks in advance.

Cordialement,

Hello Micael_,

Thanks for posting on National Instruments forum.

You should install LabVIEW RTE 2009 and the NI-RIO Driver (with the FlexRIO Support) on the deployment PC.

Can you tell us more about the error you got? Basically, the error 1003 indicates that a VI is not executable.

Benjamin_R,

Thanks for your answer.

The deployment computer had LabVIEW 8.6 FPGA installed, but I think the RIO driver was too old for LV2009 RTE.

I updated it to NI-RIO 3.2 and now my LV2009 exe is working.

Many thanks

Cordialement,
