EV3 addon for LabVIEW 2014 for Education

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi Guys

I bought a LabVIEW 2014 for Education Licence.

Now I would like to program a LEGO EV3 brick.

But when I want to start a new program, I'm only able to connect to a LEGO NXT brick.

I tried to download the newest addons from LEGO, but it doesn't function.

Can you give me an advice what to do?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Bunraz,

which downloads did you try? This one for EV3?

Community: NI LabVIEW for LEGO® MINDSTORMS® / LabVIEW Module for LEGO MINDSTORMS - Download - National Instruments
https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-15615

and then the following link?

LabVIEW 2014 Module for LEGO MINDSTORMS - National Instruments
http://www.ni.com/download/labview-nxt-module-2014/4761/en/

Can you give me a detailed description about what is not working? Or a small step by step of what you are starting?

Can you attach a screenshot of the parts that are not working?

Most of the examples you find in LabVIEW are valid for NXT and ev3, so e.g. go to

LabVIEW >> Find examples >> Toolkits and Modules >> NXT Robotics >> Display >> Simple Display.vi

and run it, when your EV3 is connected to your computer with USB. it should simply start up.

Hi NikoNR

Thank you for your answer.

In the meanwhile I found out, that i needed to reboot my PC, after installing the addon.
