I would like to know whether the digital output signal created by the NI-6232 card can be used to drive a relay or is it solely for digital communication.
For that matter, I was also unable to find the D/O current and power limits. Which made me wonder, would it be better to use an A/O signal for that
purpose?
I would like to hear your recommendations,
Thank you.

type 6232 into the search field , scroll down to
NI 6232/6233 Specifications | View Manual
However , to answer your question, you need to provide the specification of your relay... at least how much current the coil need (Assuming that the supply voltage fit)

This is also called out in on the Product Page in the specs tab. It is capable of sourcing 350mA for one channel, and 400mA for all channels together, at 24V.
Best,
