Does the cRIO-9082 support SNTP?

Hello,

I'd like some clarity on SNTP support on CompactRIOs.

This page says that "This process only applies to CompactRIO controllers running the VxWorks operating system". AFAIK, most of the newer cRIO models run VxWorks. However, the cRIO-9082, which is newer (and more powerful?) than the VxWorks cRIOs runs Phar Lap ETS.

Does this mean that SNTP won't work properly on a cRIO-9082? Or did the first article simply use "VxWorks" to mean "one of the newer cRIOs"?

The newer cRIOs actually run NI Linux RT!

Take a look at this NI Community page and follow the steps listed, and you should be able to connect to an SNTP server on a PharLap controller:
