This is an old thread. I'd recommend starting a new thread with your question.
You've tried different things but can't control the time. Please attach your latest or best effort of a VI in the new message thread you started, that way we can see what you have tried.
It sounds like a simple problem that should only need a case structure or select statement to go with your time delay. Or better yet, read up on "state machine" architectures within the forums and LabVIEW help.
