I was reading the Idea Exchange backwards (starting with page 243) and trying to tie some loose strings... as well as giving some kudos for ideas which will most likely never be implemented, whether they have 100's or a few kudos, because "they do not fit in the strategic plan" (which is really a tactical "run after the deadline" plan, from what I understand).
5 years is actually not that old, considering the age of some "features". Or considering how long some of us have stuck with LV...
Heck, for the first time, I decided I would skip a version (which I do not pay for - at least directly - being in academia) as I did not see the point of having to reinstall all kinds of toolkits and reset preferences. A quick check on my "favorite" bugs let me figure that none had been fixed (and apparently new, subtle ones have been introduced).
