Default Noise in Displacement Sensor (Burster)

Hi there

I am working with displacement sensor (Burster) and when the sensor connected to cable there is some noise at regular intervals and it is creating a problem in my measurement of displacement so is there any help or tip to remove it?

My module consist of NI9792 gateway and NI 3226 Node which I use for my project.

Any suggestions regading this problem would be great help.

Are there any likely sources for the noise around - large electric motors, arc welders, radio stations, etc?

Is the cable shielded and as short as possible?

In terms of frequency, how close is the noise to the signal you are collecting? When you say regular intervals, do you mean periodic like a pulse train?
