Daqmx Create Timing Souce vi with Timed loop

Hello all,

I'am tryng to control the ticking of a timed loop based on an external trigger signal that appears on the PFI line of a PXI 6280 card. I want the timed loop to execute the code within it whenever a rising edge appears on the PFI line. My block diagram is as shown below.

Here, i will be selecting the PFI line for the "rising edge physical channels" terminal. I dont need any "falling edge physical channels" , so can i just leave that terminal unwired. If so , does the code work as intended?
