Hello Everyone!

My labview project keeps crashing very frequently and I am not able to make sense of it. I have attached the crash log in case sb has faced this issue before.

Hi Arash15,

it is related to LabVIEW internals. When it crahses, send us the information of the log file that it is generated. This will create a service request that will help us to track the matter of this issue.

To my mind, it is possible that it is repaired on a fresh installation of software. Feel free to contact us on www.ni.com/ask or 91 6400085 (if you are spanish) to explain how to do a fresh installation of LabVIEW.

Have a nice day!

Jesús

Hello Everyone!

I found the problem in the light of a former post which I would never thought to be relavant. Here is the link to the post:

https://decibel.ni.com/content/message/81343#81343

So the problem was the arrows of the comment boxes. Sometimes when an object is copied with its attached comment box and arrow, the arrow disconnects from the object but it doesn't detach completely and it stays hanging connected to nth. This can be seen only if you hover the mouse over the comment box. So to solve the problem, one should either delete the arrow or attach it to the object again.

I hope this helps those to may face this bug.

Cheers,

Arash

p.s.: @Jesus: I sent the log more than 10 time within the past two weeks. Unfortunately, nobody bothered to get back to me. Indeed the error is a LabView GUI problem!

I'm also running into this problem (and I'm a total LabView noob) on code that I've been given. My question is: how do I fix this (if the arrows or something similar are the problem) if it crashes as soon as I open the block view?

Hi,

I can't think of a way to solve the problem without being able to open the block diagram. Maybe u can try to open it outside the project. If that doesn't work, I don't know what does.

Hey everyone,

Perhaps some of you have already seen this KB describing the issue. It was tracked by CAR 449869 and is now fixed in LabVIEW 2015!

In my LabVIEW 2013 SP1 Application on Windows 7 Pro, this run-time crash may have been caused by an unwired unbundle by name output terminal inside a diagram disable structure.  I removed the element from the unbundle by name node and the application stopped crashing.
