DAQ assistant for Spectrum Analyser or Spectrometer

I am trying to get signal from Spectrometer , kindly explain me the way to get data from Spectrometer using USB. Kindly attach some VIs if possible.  Also suggest, which version of NI-Visa and Ni-DAQ works well with LabView 2015.

Am using USB 2.0 port. 

System configuration is 

Windows 7 (32 bit) . No Service Pack Version. When i try to install NI-VISA 15.0, i got error as unsupported version availble. 

Labview Version : 2015

Let me ask you a little bit more precisely:

What is the brand of your spectrometer?

What is the brand of your USB device?

for example, National Instruments has USB-6251 DAQ.

We need to know, how you communicate from your Data Acquisition device with LabVIEW.
