Custom Control relies on a special font - Include it with distribution?

If you create a control that relies on a special font, does that font need to reside in the built application directory and/or <Windows/Fonts>?
I have a control that looks like a 7-segemt LED, and it relies on a "LCD" font.

Thanks,
Richard

Richard,

I've been installing special fonts as windows fonts using the control panel font display in WindowsXP.  Most fonts can simply be copied to the c:\windows\fonts directory.

Check out the following post: -

It gives the font file location, and an alternative solution

COOL, I didn't know NI had a font. Thanks,

My original question concerns the need (or lack of) to include such a font on the distribution disk when you make an EXE?

Did you follow through to the links at the bottom of the post?

There is a custom control available which obviates the need to install or manage additional fonts and presumably will be cross platform.
