Cropping a non-rectangular/square image

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I'm interested in cropping a non-rectangular portion of an image using IMAQ Extract.VI, but it doesn't seem to be able to crop anything other than a rectangular bounded portion of an image. Is there a way around this or another VI that could achieve this?

Regards,
Nik

There is not a function that I know of, but I would crob the image and also crop a binary mask of the non retangular roi, then AND the 2 images.  There might be many other ways to do this but this should be a easy implementation.

Assuming you have the Vision package, try this:
